Room Assessment And Measurements
We inspect each room before ordering materials or cutting panels. We measure wall and ceiling lengths, ceiling height, door and window openings, closets, soffits, and other areas that affect panel layout. We also check framing for proper alignment, spacing, and stability, since uneven or damaged framing can cause visible seams or fastener problems.
We identify electrical boxes, plumbing lines, HVAC openings, and recessed fixtures so we can plan safe cuts and access points. In older South Barrington homes, we may also find previous water damage, loose insulation, or surfaces that require repair before installation.
Our estimate accounts for panel quantity, joint compound, tape, corner bead, fasteners, insulation, disposal, and finishing labor. We explain any conditions that may change the scope or price before work begins, then protect nearby floors and furnishings while keeping the work area organized.
